Challenge
At a major MedTech event, the organizer offered two booth categories: free booths for startups and paid booths for sponsors.
While the layout looked balanced on paper, visitor engagement told a different story — though no one could clearly explain why some areas felt “busy” while others remained quiet.
Without concrete data, every future event layout would rely on guesswork rather than facts.
The organizer needed an AI-driven platform to study, map, and visualize visitor movement patterns — helping them understand which zones were actually performing well and why.
Solution
Triumva developed a real-time event intelligence platform combining AI analytics, heatmaps, and visitor journey tracking.
Our system collected anonymous movement data from RFID/NFC tags worn by participants and visualized their paths across the venue.
Through interactive dashboards, the organizer could:
- See live traffic density across booth zones,
- Analyze average time spent at each booth,
- Identify visitor flow patterns over time,
- Compare free vs. paid booth visibility using clear visual heatmaps.
The insights were eye-opening: the supposedly “premium” sponsor area , designed for maximum visibility was actually receiving the fewest visits, while free booth zones were attracting consistent, high engagement.
Impact
The results challenged the event’s traditional layout assumptions.
Armed with data, the organizer could now make evidence-based decisions for future editions:
- Rearrange booth locations to balance traffic flow.
- Improve attendee experience by distributing high-interest zones evenly.
The platform revealed what the human eye could not — that some insights only emerge when you let data speak.
Triumva’s AI solution turned a complex event map into a living, breathing data story — proving once again that data doesn’t just measure success; it guides it.
